Daksha Jignesh Vakharia
Myra and Ankit's mother.
Way too orthodox for this generation and has absolutely no patience in her life.
Values society over her own people. She is the one who cares about what other people are going to say before doing anything.
At this point her being orthodox is not even a problem, the problem is her being in that toxic society that brain washes her by saying- "this is how society need to work."
And her being like this has, and will always cause problems in her family.
Myra and Ankit are totally hating it while Akansha doesn't stand in a position to tell anything to her since she has been shutted up before.

The reason behind their divorce was them not being able to live as a family. He was not abusive but neither was he a responsible husband or a father.

So she neglected him just like how he neglected his family.

She's a housewife currently. Ever since her son has entered her life, she gave all her attention to him.

And that's when Myra offered him a property that she owned to him for building a new and a bigger orphanage.
Finally he was able to return to Australia after Myra promised him to take care of the orphanage.
He didn't believe anyone and didn't wanted to leave the kids unwatched but since Myra is the one doing it, he is relaxed.

3rd Person's POV
A man who is nothing but the definition of a Greek god.
Walking out of his luxurious mansion towards his driver, who is waiting for him to drive him to his company in his most elegant and expensive Rolls Royce.
The driver opened the door for him and waited for him to enter the car. Stepping inside the car, he pulled out his elegant lighter with a beautiful customised design carved on it.
Lighting the cigarette in his hand he sniffed the toxic smoke. Signing deeply he continued smoking.
Everything about him screamed 'Royalty!'
This man is none other than Zeeshant Mehra, the CEO of Mehra Corporation and the new business tycoon.
In the business world, he is known as an intimidator, a cold person.
A single glare from him can make someone regret their whole existence.
His own employees are afraid to face him. Work your ass off if you don't want to get in his bad books.
Due to his father's health issues, Zeeshant was asked to take over his father's business at a young age. He is the one who took his father's business from Gujarat to other countries. Due to his own hard work, he expanded the business to Mumbai and Singapore, propelling Mehra Corporation to new heights.
He learned to take responsibility at a young age, and as a result, he never had time to consider being in a relationship.
Though there are women who are throwing themselves at him just to get noticed by him.
Not to mention the women who are dying to get in bed with him.
But who are we talking about, The Zeeshant Mehra, not just women but even men are ready to risk it all for him.
A man written by women.
But he has been a no woman men !
He only has one friend, That one friend who he is ready to kill by his own hands but also ready to die for him.
Nishant Pathak.
Nishant is his childhood friend. Zeeshant is extremely close to him.
Considering their bond Zeeshant decided to bring Nishant to Mumbai along with him and Nishant agreed. Nishant knows him from inside, out, more than anyone else would ever know him.
Nishant is the one who has assisted Zeeshant in running his two branches and was by his side through thick and thin.
It has been almost 5 years till Zeeshant had returned to Mumbai after working for his company in Singapore. Which has now been at success and has reached a different height of success.
"It's still the same," Zeeshant said, looking around the city as they made their way to the company in the car.
"It has changed a lot if you look at it more closely. Sir."
The driver said while driving, trying to start a conversation.
Raising his brow, he looked at the driver, the driver flinched because the moment he looked into the mirror, he was staring right into his soul. A look that can send shivers down anyone's spine.
"I'm sorry sir" he said looking in the front.
The driver didn't dare to utter a single word after that. Knowing how much his boss despises it when people speak to him without his permission.
Zeeshant despises unnecessary conversations and nuisances.
Loud people are kept 10 fts away from him for their own safety.
Arriving at the company he saw how everything is well maintained and organized, just how he likes it to be.
Getting out of the car he crashed the cigarette under his boots. He entered the 62 story building which is known to be the most expensive building in the country.
Pin drop silence is heard. Not even a single person dared to speak.
Only the sound of boots tapping the tiled ground is being heard.
Walking in the company with 10 people following him behind which included his 2 secretaries , 4 assistants of his secretaries and 4 well built bodyguards that can bury someone alive in the span of just few minutes.
Not giving a single fuck about the employees terrified faces he directly made his way to his office.
Zeeshant's POV
Entering the company felt so nostalgic.
"Memories". I said walking to the office.
As soon as I opened the door,
"BHOOWWWW" Someone shouted.
"AAAAHHHHH" I shouted.
Well who would dare to be in my office and try to scare me.
Ofc it has to be Nishant.
"Hahahahahhahahah" he is really laughing, holding his stomach as if it was funny.
After laughing for 2 minutes straight he decided to speak.
"Haha how are you my franddd" he said in a funny way which was not funny at all.
"Was great before meeting you" I said, removing my coat and keeping it on the table.
"Of course" he said, trying to act sad like I don't know his Oscar worthy drama.
"Why are you in my office?" I asked rolling my eyes and sitting down on my chair.
"I was just waiting for you to come." he said.
"Did you get the file ready?" I asked.
"Relax my brother- you just came, are you going to work from today onwards?!?" He asked, looking at me with a twisted face.
"Do you think this is a garden and I'm here to walk around for timepass?" I sassied.
"Bro you literally just came yesterday, take some rest, spent time with your parents. Why did you even come in the first place? I asked you not to come." He said.
"I don't have time for all that I need to start working for the opening of the new branch and also I want the details of all the past projects done when I was not here." I said.
"Yeah yeah workaholic mf" he said rolling his eyes.
"Shut up and get me the file in 2 minutes" I stated.
"Well forget about that cause I haven't worked on that file yet" he said running out of the office.
"YOU ASSHOLE!!" I shouted and signed seeing him run in the corrider through the glass walls.

Meanwhile~
Myra's POV
"MYRA!!!"
"MYRA!!!!"
"MYRAAA!!!!!!!"
Came my mother's yells from downstrais. I signed before sitting up on my bed with my eyes still closed.
"Coming Maa." I replied shouting back from my room as I got up from the bed and left the room- but not before checking myself in the mirror once.
Gotta make sure I look like a human!
I smiled satisfied and made my way downstairs in hope of getting some good morning wished alongside some nice dishes made for breakfast.
But who are we kidding- she's my desi mother and having a peaceful nice morning with her is like government talking about corruption- makes no sense right.
Cause before I could even get downstairs- her yells from kitchen reached me before me reaching to the living room.
It's happening since years and I doubt it will stop anytime soon and also everybody in the family has stopped bothering her about her yells cause it's of no use. She's going to do whatever she wants anyways.
''Look at the time- it's almost 9 in the morning and she is still sleeping. What will she do with life if she keeps getting more and more lazy day by day."
My mother complained from the kitchen to my father who is reading his mandatory morning newspaper and drinking his even more mandatory morning tea in the living room.
He just nodded his head at what maa kept saying without actually listening to a single word. Cause only If he had the power of ignoring a single word from my mother- I would probably be sleeping till afternoon everyday.
And It's always been like this, with my father merely nodding and agreeing with my mother's views.
"Who is going to give their son to this lazy woman."
I rolled my eyes at her as she got started with her usual dialogue.
I'm 22 and graduated last week, and she is already started talking about my marriage as if I'm already 50 and wouldn't be able to find a suitable suitor.
"Don't worry about her maa, she will surely find the best out of all." Bhabhi said looking over to me as I gave cheeky smile.
After my brother, she is the only one who cares about my opinions. She has only been here for a year but it always feels like she's been a part of our family for years.
"You're defending her once again, Akansha. Nowadays, every man desires a perfect wife who would allow him to live his life as he desires. And she doesn't even live with us like we want. How will she go to someone's house and adjust there. She doesn't even live like normal girls." Rolling her eyes she said.
Again She went back to her old ways of thinking. A woman should live like this, she should do this, she should do that, this- that and so many more instructions that comes followed by a birth of girl child.
In my mother's opinion, a perfect wife is one who can do all of these things, and keep her husband and his family happy even if she herself isn't happy. She should always think about them first even before herself. In her thinking a girl should always be mannered, well behaved, should know all the household works and stuff like. And I'm not even 1% of this.
Though I'm mannered and well behaved but not the way she wants.
Well at this point in my life- I have stop bothering myself about this type of her talks. I don't take them seriously at all.
"Let her be maa, she's fine the way she is." Came bhai's voice making me sigh in relief.
The only person who's presence brings annoyance and peace together. My savior in case of my mother and supporter in case of everything.
Probably the only person who has the ability to save me from my mother. However, he has been doing this since he was a child.
Well I have also saved him from dad but yeah I was the one to him in trouble in the first place but let's just ignore that part.
Our bond is no different than any other brother- sister relation. We are the same with equal parts of annoyance and equal parts of love. But only annoyance is showed.
"Haa Haa aavi gaiya Ben na lawyer. Have aapde toh kai kevanu pan nai."
Said my mother looking over to my brother who has exceptionally always made her proud unlike her daughter.
Ohh how sad-
(Yes yes here is her sister's lawyer. Now we can't even say anything to her.)
My mother said, rolling her eyes sarcastically at my brother.
She flipped out when she finally recognised me sitting in the living room after her daily drama.
My biggest mistake might be leaving my room at '8:30' a.m. without bathing.
"Hey mara bhagwan!" She screamed before rushing towards the living room making me go and hide behind papa.
(Oh my god!!)
I bet all of our neighbours heard her. Everyone in my house, including my father, who had stayed quiet throughout the episode, flinched.
''YOU DIDN'T EVEN BATH YET?!?" she exclaimed, staring at me as if I were a weirdo.
"Maa, it's Sunday." I said. Trust me I regretted saying that.
"Oh, my goddess decided to bless us on Sunday as well. My lord has blessed me."
she said with an overflowing sarcasm in her sentence.
She didn't stop after that, despite my repeated attempts to sneak into my room and thanks to Bhai for diverting her attention.
I got ready and left for work as soon as possible because I couldn't bring myself to set my single foot in the kitchen for breakfast knowing my mother is there.
The first thing I heard as I entered the orphanage is children laughing and giggling as they are playing in the garden.
I feel like I am in heaven whenever I hear the kids laugh. They're so pure.
"I'll also play!" I shouted gaining their attention and they all ran towards me.
"I was first." Yelled the 4 year old Agastya.
"No, I was first." Came another voice making me look at it.
"Aanchal didi you are earning- go buy yourself a gift." The other kid sassied making other laugh.
Well there's an unsaid rule of the orphanage. The first person to come and hug me everytime I come, gets a gift from me.
I love listening to their rants about what they lost and what they want. It's their choice on what they want- some hesitate while some think of me as their own and pass me down a list of items.
And I'm very grateful for all the love they give. These kids are my only escape from the real world; hearing them giggle and laugh makes me feel like I'm in heaven and it instantly erases all of my worries.
Just like everyday, they made me forget about the drama from this morning.
So as a thank you I bough all of them gifts. They all loved the idea while all the nannies shook their head at me.
"Stop spoiling them so much Myra- we don't have space to keep all this." Came one of the Nanny's voice.
"No problem, we'll build another orphanage- a bigger one." I said shrugging my shoulder.
"If you don't stop buying them so much then I doubt if even a bigger mansion could bare it all in." Aanchal said.
"Let them enjoy and you also enjoy. It's not your thing to worry about. If Chris gets to know that I'm upsetting you all- he'll bury me alive." I said and they all chuckled.
"Myra...Myra di.." Came a small voice followed by a small tug on my pants.
"Yes Agastya." I said picking him up in my arms.
"Only I was supposed to get the gift- I ran so fast for it." He said pouting at me.
"Even Kavya got it." He said glaring at his sweet enemy who was minding his business with his new remote control car.
"You have problem with all or only kavya?" Aanchal asked faking her anger.
"Both." He said making me laugh.
"You got your gift right? Then go and play with it otherwise I'll give it to Kavya." Aanchal said threatening him.
"Aanchal." I said asking her not to threaten him.
"Didi don't give her anything next time." He said side eyeing Aanchal before leaving my arms.
I shook my head at him and laughed after seeing him snatch Kavya's car and running with it.
I smiled seeing all of them having fun with their gifts- some enjoyed while some shared it with each other. What a perfect thing to start my day with.
To be continued-
Myra's POV
"Maa do I really need to come with you!!!!" I repeated the same sentence for the 15th time even though I already know the answer.
"Myra stop whining like a kid and stop irritating me." She said irritated.
"I don't even know why I am supposed to go to a 'society cultural program' where only bitchy aunties come." I said getting ready to jump out of the car.
"Mind your language Myra." she said glaring at me.
Huh, am I a teenager that she is asking me to mind my language.
"Seriously Maa you are no less than them." yeah she is the head of that so called 'cultural committee'.
She didn't say anything further, pretending as if she didn't hear me.
______________________________________
Zeeshant's POV
"What do you do there?" I asked.
"It's a cultural programme what do you think we do there." She said.
"You never did this things before." I said.
"I still don't, I'm here for something special." She said giving me a suspicious smile.
"What special?" I asked guessing it's something related to me.
"You'll soon know." She said and went back to smiling to herself.
"Stop here." She said and I nodded before stopping the car inside the gates.
"I'll go now and take care of yourself, don't overwork, and also call me when you reach back home." She said as if she is here to drop me off at school.
"Mom, I'm not a kid anymore." I said.
"You are always a kid to me". She said ending the conversation.
"Go home and rest , don't start working again. I asked Nishant give you company." She said collecting her things from the car.
"Seriously mom, you asked him to give me company!!? He doesn't even let me work nor let's me live in peace." I said irritated.
"You both better behave." she said with a strict tone telling me to make sure we both behave well, also ignoring what I said.
"Okkah" I said, rolling my eyes at her.
"I'll go now." she said stepping out of the car and leaving.
I waited for her to enter but before she could enter, few women came excitedly. They hugged her and welcomed her.
She is invited as a chief guest. It's probably one of her friend's event and that also an old friend so she's too excited to meet her.
And just then I noticed one of them being emotional and hugging mom for much longer. She might be the one I guess.
And unexpectedly even mom started crying with her. Oh!! After how long are they meeting?
I shook my head at their Bharat Milap and was about to leave but just then I saw mom hugging the girl besides the lady with even more excitement.
She looks like a college student and looks like it's her first time meeting mom aswell. But then why is mom so excited?
She looked around confused and waited for her mother to speak. I smiled seeing her confused face after mom pushed her into a hug.
I shook my head at them and drove away with a smile on my face.
Myra's POV
I have no idea why excalty was I forced to come here. Especially to an event where I see no young woman except for me.
Everyone looks in their late 40s and here I'm looking like a lost puppy between this women who keeps looking at me as if I robbed their houses.
I never understood the concept behind this cultural event of this rich aunties. This no different than their Kitty parties.
All they do is bitch and go around asking hands for marriage for their children.
This is something that has been irritating me ever since I've entered this place. So many woman have been behind maa for the same question.
Are finding a guy for her? How old is she? I'm finding a wife for my son etc etc.
But out of all this- the woman who greeted me with a tight hug before giving an introduction- seems the smartest here.
Everyone is especially trying to get close to her and surrounding her at all times. She's visibly bored and done with them but she keeps a smile on.
I had no idea who she is but looking at her I know she isn't like the other ladies here.
She has a genuine smile on her face and also seems like the only intelligent woman here.
My mother literally forced me to greet her right in front of her.
These ladies can't even hide their real intentions seriously.
I greeted her genuinely cause she seemed just like me. Not in other ways but in a way where I feel like we might have the same thinking somewhere.
I have no idea what is happening here.
I am just following my mother everywhere she goes and greeting everyone she asks me to.
"Aa dhingli."
( Dhingli is a doll. In gujarati families they call small girls dhingli in a loving way. It means cute and pretty).
I heard my aunty calling me.
Well she is my mother's one and only open minded and most intelligent friend.
She calls me dhingli ever since I was a kid. It's always so much refreshing to meet her. She is like a powerhouse of energy. Every Time you'll meet her you will see her laughing, smiling or telling her jokes.
She has a cheerful and bubbly personality. I love people like her.
They can make anyone comfortable around them in a minute without you even trying.
"Hey beautiful" I said with a big smile going towards her.
"Hehe me and beautiful!? Suits well" she said laughing.
Well one thing about her she is also full of herself not in a bad way but rather a good one.
"Of course, no doubt," I said, agreeing to her.
"Anyways, where's that annoying old lady?" she asked about maa.
See this is why I said she is the most intelligent.
"Might be somewhere, bitching about someone." I said, rolling my eyes.
"I know right. She really needs to stop coming to such events. You know she forced me to come here.” She said annoyed by my mother's actions just like me.
"Same same." I said looking around to find her and lucky I spotted her with the lady that I met earlier.
My mother looked so happy to see her. I wonder who she is.
Suddenly my mother looked at me and asked me and aunty to come. We both went but aunty walked farther and hugged that lady with the biggest smile while the lady also had the same smile like aunty.
I guess aunty knows her. They seem pretty close by the way they hugged each other.
"Kem che Rasila?" (How are you Rasila?) The lady asked aunty.
"Ekdum tara var jevi" (As great as your husband). Aunty said laughing the lady playfully hit aunty on the shoulder, looks like it's their inside joke.
Cause it was kinda weird to say.
"Well meet my friend Myra" Aunty introduced me to the lady referring to me as her friend making all of us laugh.
You see this is how Rasila Aunty is.
The lady looked at me and smiled.
"Hello, I'm Amita Mehra" she said, forwarding her hand for a handshake.
"Hey, I'm Myra". I gladly accepted her handshake.
I really loved the way she greeted me cause her ladies greet each other with taunts and insults but she really asked for a handshake. I'm already liking her.
"She's my daughter," My mother said, smiling widely.
I raised my eyebrow to her. There's definitely something going on in her mind.
____________
After few hours~
In car-
"Can't believe I really spent 5 hours between those ladies" I said not believing what I said myself.
"You should come here often, they all seemed to like you" Maa said.
"They were so obvious about not liking me." I whispered, rolling my eyes.
Seriously she didn't even notice how they were indirectly insulting her or is she pretending not to know.
They really said, "How come you have such a beautiful girl!"
Duh my parents are beautiful enough to have a beautiful daughter like me.
Not to mention how few of them asked me to marry their sons. Seriously they all seemed on drugs to me. They all are just so bad for society.
Now I understand why maa has this type of thinking.
"This is how society is." Maa said looking out of the window
Her eyes narrowing with some kind of guilt or maybe regret.
"This generation doesn't understand why us old people have orthodox thinking. It is because of the society that we are told to be a part of. Everybody in this world is like this. People who are good to you are bad to someone else while people who are bad to you are also good to someone else. It's just about priorities. We cannot expect everyone to be good and change their thinking the way we want. We grew up like this and will grow like this. You should be lucky that at least you have your brother to support you. When I was young my brother used to beat us for even speaking Infront of him." She said.
"That's excatly what this younger generation is trying to change. But like you said we can't have everyone to think like us." I said.
"You'll understand once you are at our position. It's how human nature is. That time your generation will be taunted by the upcoming generation." She said.
"Maybe." I whispered, thinking over what she said.
Somewhere she is right. We won't know something till we face it ourselves. It's easy to force or ask someone to be a certain way than to understand them and think that maybe it's the way they are.
They are toxic and conservative but that's only what they have seen. It might be hard for them to change and accept this fast paced generation.
"Even I'm thankful to Bhagwan for the happiness he has given to our family. Just because our thoughts don't match doesn't mean we don't have love for each other. You know we all have different ways to show our love. Your papa never said it nor did he ever showed it clearly but does that mean he doesn't love you?" She asked looking at me and I shook my head at her.
Ofcource my papa loves me. There's no one in this whole universe who'll love me as much as papa loves me. His way of expressing is different. It's closed off and silent but still its love, his love for me.
"Even we fight not once or thrice but everyday, whole day but the moment I hear something bad about you- only I know how much it hurts. I would never want anyone to speak bad about my children. I don't want anyone pointing their fingers at my children. I know I'm not as supportive as you want me to be but I'm trying. For you, for the betterment of your life." She said.
I didn't say anything further or maybe I don't have anything to say. She didn't lie. As much as I know my parents, they will never be against their children. My parents aren't like that but not everytime situation is as we expect.
There are always two sides to a situation. The one you think is right and the one they think is right. Both are right, both are looking at what is beneficial. They both are needed to be shared.
Even stones crack after watering it for as long as it takes.
____________
Zeeshant's POV
"What were you both thinking while doing this!?" Mom said glaring at both of us.
Well according to her we were supposed to behave well but we ended up having a fight with the pillows that caused a little mess ig.
Not little but a big one.
This is all because of that dimwit. Look at him trying to control his laugh.
"It is all because of this dumbhead mom." I said Annoyed.
"Wahh now you are blaming me for making the mess you created." He said as if he is the victim and only I am at fault.
"Then who asked you to disturb me while I was working and that also with that third class singing of yours." I said, rolling my eyes at him.
"THIRD CLASS SINGING!!??? SERIOUSLY?????" He said acting shocked.
Drama and Nishant are equivalent to each other.
"Yeah or should I say that it made my ears bleed or maybe it made me wish that I should've died before hearing such a voice." I said with the same dramatic voice.
"That is too much okay you are going overboard now. Don't insult my singing I'm telling you or else-" He stopped, thinking of something to say.
"Or else what huh? what are you going to do, start singing again? Go ahead cause I've already gone deaf after hearing you sing."
" I'M TELLING YOU STOP HAA." he shouted.
"WHAT IF I DON'T HAA." I said with the same volume.
"SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU." we both flinched hearing my mom shout.
"RAMESH I WANT THIS WHOLE ROOM CLEANED IN NEXT 30 MINUTES" she said to the house cleaner.
"And you both, this is the last warning. If you both fight after this I'm going to kick you both out of the house." she said glaring at us and then left.
As soon as she left Ramesh entered and started cleaning.
While Nishant had a small smile on his face. Is he high?
"Stop smiling like a psychopath." I said while he looked at me with the same smile making me raise my brow.
"Why the fuck are you smiling like a psycho!?" I asked him.
"You know whenever she scolds us I can see my mother in her. She also used to scold me like this. I miss her so much."
He said with a sad smile.
"Come here" I said and pulled him in a hug.
No matter how much he irritates me or how much I hate him, he is still my best friend. No matter how much we fight or how much I want to kill him, he is still the other half. He has been my family, my friend, my best friend, and everything that someone needs in their lives.
He took care of me just like how a bird takes care of her newborn.
Compliments me like a father who is proud of his child after he did his first public performance.
Celebrates everything about me like it's my 1st ever birthday.
Without him I'm incomplete, he is my other half, my everything I could say.
Zeeshant is incomplete without Nishant.
"How long do you plan to hold me like this?" He said smiling cheekly.
"Fuck off." I said.

3rd Person's POV
" GIVE IT BACK" Nishant shouted as soon as zeeshant snatched his phone from his hand.
"NO" Zeeshant replied while running away from him.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU DUMBASS" Nishant shouted.
"WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO YOURSELF SO LOUDLY" Zeeshant shouted back.
"I WAS TALKING TO YOU , YOU ARE THE DUMBASS" Nishant shouted
"BRO I SEE NO MIRROR HERE" Zeeshant said it to Nishant
"WHY THE HELL DID YOU EVEN SNATCH MY PHONE!?" Nishant shouted irritatedly while trying to catch Zeeshant.
"I ASKED YOU TO GET THE FILE READY 5 DAYS AGO AND YOU STILL DIDN'T GET IT READY SO I'M TAKING YOUR PHONE AND I WILL ONLY GIVE IT BACK AFTER YOU PLACE THE FILE ON MY TABLE !!!" Zeeshant shouted back trying to run away from him
"SHUT THE CRAP MF AND GIVE IT BACK RIGHT NOW" Nishant shouted from the other side of the couch while Zeeshant is standing on the other side.
At this point both of them are creating a mess in the whole house while the servants who were working are all looking at them now.
"See bro they all are looking just give it back I'll get the file ready in 2 days" Nishant whispered gritting his teeth, trying to smile with pleading eyes but Zeeshant being Zeeshant didn't give a fuck about it.
"I'll give the phone after I receive the file until then I'm not giving it back." Zeeshant said with a strict tone.
"You know what , fuck you" Nishant said irritated and jumped over the couch but Zeeshant was quick enough to run away from him.
"HEY! THIS IS CHEATING" Zeeshant shouted running away.
"LOOK WHO'S SAYING IT. MF YOU ARE THE CHEATER. YOU ARE LITERALLY BLACKMAILING ME WITH MY PHONE, THAT IS NOT FAIR." Nishant shouted, still running behind him.
Both are out of breaths now but neither of them is giving up and is running as if their life depends on this race.
Zeeshant's POV
I'm seriously so done with his laziness. I have decided to blackmail him to get my work done. That's it.
" I DID YOUR HIGH SCHOOL HOMEWORK FOR WHOLE 1 MONTH. YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME."
-_- Trust me this is my reaction after hearing him. Like seriously he is bringing that up. God the things this monkey can do just to get his phone are unimaginable.
"STOP BEFORE I TELL AUNTY THAT YOU ATE HER FAVOURITE COOKIES THAT UNCLE BOUGHT FROM BRAZIL FOR HER, 'ONLY HER'." He shouted
This motherfucker.
I stopped running and the fool he is, he stopped as well.
"How the fuck do you know that!?" I asked glaring at him.
He is so sneaky I swear. He'll be watching us and we'll have no idea about him being there.
"My ways, my cookie stealer brother." He said winking at him, making me wanna punch him right then and there.
"You know you are a fool!?" I said, smirking at him.
"Yeah of cou-"
"WHAT ,WAIT YOU CHEATED THIS IS NOT FAIR ." He ran behind me whining again.
Hehe it is so easy to fool him. I ran away before he could complete but
"AAAHHHHH" Someone shouted when we both bumped into each other and the both of us fell down.
"Oh my god, Mom" I said looking at her while she is on the floor with a painful expression on her face.
Save me my holy God.
"We're so doomed." I whispered while me and Nishant tried helping her but she yanked our hands and got up herself. Thank God she didn't get hurt.
"You are so fit aunty, hehe." Nishant said a little hesitant as mom got up herself.
Hearing this, me and mom both were ready to throw hands.
Seriously this is what he has to say.
"The hell do you think you both were doing?!!." She asked while her eyes are piercing into our souls.
Damn she's scary.
"Aunty, he took my phone" Nishant whined.
"I told you to get the file ready and you'll get your phone." I said, shrugging my shoulders.
"Auntyyyyy" He whined, moving his whole body.
Kid.
"Shut up both of you, I need to speak to both of you very urgently ." She said,
"What?" I asked while Nishant nodded.
"First let's sit then I'll say" she said and walked slowly towards the couch.
I guess she did get a little hurt. Hehe.
"Come here and sit." She made me sit beside her while Nishant sat in front of us.
"What is it mom?" I asked
I don't understand. what is so important.
"You remember you dropped me off at an event 3 days ago?" She asked me as I nodded.
She smiled and continued speaking.
"You know I met a girl there. She is my friend's daughter."she said.
Is this the important thing?
"Okay and?" I asked, not understanding anything.
"See beta I know you have never thought about this but now I want you to think about it. I understand because of me and your father you had to give up so many things at an early age. I know how much you wanted to enjoy with your friends, going on trips, hanging out together, dancing in the club and many such things that I know you weren't able to do and I'm really sorry for that."
She knew all this?
It's a tittle surprising to now it now.
But why is she suddenly saying all this?
"Yes mom I know how much I wanted to do those things like getting wasted in the club with my friends laughing around but you know the way I'm living now is way better than what I could've become after doing those things. I feel like I never lived the days where I was supposed to be easy on myself but I had to work hard for you and dad. I can never be grateful enough to thank you both for making me what I am today. Please don't feel sorry. You guys never forced me for anything and not even work , it was me who willingly took those things over." I said hugging her.
"I know beta but I didn't know anything that could've saved your father's life. It's you because of whom he is alive, he is between us. Thank you so much beta."
I have no words to speak.
Imagine being the reason for your father being alive, being with you, you being able to grow old with them because of you, yourself.
"Don't say that mom." I said wiping her tears cause I'm sure she's getting flashbacks of all those times.
"But now I want you to do something for yourself." She said keeping her hand on my cheek and looked at me with hope in her eyes.
What am I supposed to do for myself?
"What mom?" I asked her, being clueless about what she is saying.
First she started talking about some girl and then she started saying things from the past. What is she trying to tell?
"Please be clear mom. What do you want me to do?" I asked her and she took a deep breath before saying.
"I want you to get married."
"Huh?"
I said not accepting what I just heard. Marry? Me? Why? I don't think so!
"I want you to get married." She repeated.
"Zeeshant and marriage? That also with a girl? Oh hell nah." Nishant exclaimed dramatically.
I swear if mom wouldn't have been with us he would've already been thrown out of the house by now.
"Shut up mf." I mouthed, making him understand to stay quiet before I do actions I've just thought to do.
"Nishant." Mom said, shaking her head at him and he just nodded shutting his mouth.
"But mom, why so sudden?" I asked not understanding why am I supposed to get married.
"Aunty asked you to do something for yourself and by marrying , you are calling your own death by yourself. That's what you could do, for yourself obviously."
He said nodding his head as If he decoded the most impossible thing.
But I couldn't disagree with what he said.
Why cause trouble for yourself?
"Oh Shut up nishu." Mom said flickering his forehead.
"I want you to get married so there will be someone who'll take care of you, someone who will be your other half and also love you." She said looking at me.
"Oh Aunty what's the need to get married in that I can also take care of him and love him and about the other half thing, I'm already his other half. Right zeeu!!?" He said holding my arm with both arms and in a cheesy tone that would make anyone puke.
.
.
.
I murdered him.
.
.
.
In my mind.
"Stop it nishu." Mom tried to tell him it's something serious.
"Okayahhh" he said and sat back at his place.
Thank you mom.
"I met her there at the event. She is so kind and also so beautiful. Perfect to stand beside my son."
She said proudly while I felt something in me when she called me her son. I smiled at her for that.
"She is 22. Her name is Myra. Her mother bought her there on my request even though she didn't wanted to come. But you know when she was talking to me she seemed so genuine. We both also have the same thinking somewhere. I've only spent 2 hours with her but that was enough to know her from the inside out." She said with the biggest smile.
That girl made my mom smile like this.
I should give it a chance cause I know my mom knows the best for me.
"I'm not forcing you for anything. Just take your time to think and tell me." She said and stood up.
"I'll give it a chance mom." I said with a smile that made her jump at her place.
Wasn't she hurt? I chuckled at her excited state.

Myra's POV
"Mom, do I really need to get married right now?" I asked her.
She and Rasila Aunty both are sitting right in front of me trying to make me understand that I shouldn't lose such a good chance.
"No Myra. We are just telling you to think about it: you can get married whenever you want. We are just saying not everyone is as lucky as you to get such a good chance." Mom said.
"You know he is such a good person. He has helped his family so much ever since he was younger. He was working hard when you were going clubbing with your snake friends." My mom said, rolling her eyes.
"He will love you so much I can guarantee you that. Just give it a try cause you said you don't have anyone right now in your life so i don't think this is a bad idea." Aunty said
"Maybe you should give it a try," bhabhi said while sitting beside me.
"But why me?" I asked
"Because his mother liked you and thought you are the perfect match for her son." Mom said
When did I meet his mom?
"Huh? How does she know me? When did we meet?" I asked clueless.
"You remember the cultural event I took you to?" She asked as I nodded, rolling my eyes. Obviously some woman who straight up went to my mother to talk about my marriage.
"You remember the lady that I asked you to greet?". Mom said
"Mom, you asked me to greet nearly more than 50 women. How will I remember who you are talking about." I said irritated.
"Not anyone else but Amita," Aunty said.
Oh yeah I remember her.
"Yes I remember her. What about her?" I asked
"She wanted to see you and your behaviour and asked me to bring you along, that's why I forced you to come. She is the mother." My mom said, rolling her eyes at the part when she said 'she forced me' sarcastically.
"Why me? How did she know me?" What is even happening? How did she know me?
"She saw you on my social media." Aunty said.
"Ohh" I said, nodding my head.
She did seem like a nice person and also someone who I would love to be my mother-in-law but suddenly like this?
"Do you know who she is?" Bhai asked coming down the stairs while looking at me
"No," I replied, shaking my head.
Is she some sort of celebrity?
Why am i supposed to know her?
"Leave It just say if you wanna atleast meet him or not?" My mom asked
"Why are you in so much hurry?" I asked her irritated
"It's okay to let her take as much time as she wants. It's better to not hurry in such things." My dad said looking at my mother.
Should I give it a chance??
Maybe....
"I'll think about it after i meet him until then I'm not judging him." I said and stood up.
"So you are ready to meet him!?!? Wahhh" my mom said excitedly while I just nodded.
"But at least tell me his name and some things about him." I said to both of them while they smiled so brightly before saying his name.
"Zeeshant Mehra."
"And Google the details," Bhai said.
Wait
Let me take that in first cause bruh how the hell is this possible.
