Author's Pov

The mathur mansion was filled up with chatters all around...it was royally decorated with roses and was lighted up beautifully..it was the day when mathur's only daughter "MIHIKA"was finally getting married... Although the mathur's were a little worried about the person she is going to get married with..but their daughter's happiness was all that they ever wanted!

MIHIKA

The day is finally here...i am finally getting married to the man i love MY SARANSH.. I didn't imagine getting married this soon..but afterall it's him i am going to marry! He has broken down all the walls i have created! He has been there with me since i started my graduation.. although my parents are a little unsure about him..but i trust him..my chain of thoughts broke when mom entered my room

" Mihi my baby you look so adorable" she said complimenting me with little tears in her eyes..

"Maa... don't cry okay?" i said engulfing her in a hug

"Krishiv is here to meet you" she said with a smile

when he entered the room with a glass of orange juice in his hand..

KRISHIV My best friend...my crime partner.. He has been with me since we were in 6th grade..he has seen me from being clumsy to being the girl i am now!

"Krish is here in your service madam" he said being all dramatic..he is the sunshine of our lives..my parents always treated him like their son!

He offered me the glass of juice he just brought!

"Thank you sir" i said while smiling

" I can't believe you are going to get married mihi.." He said in an emotional tone

"I m very happy that you are getting married mihi..but i m still unsure about him" He said in a serious tone

"Don't worry krish.. everything will be okay i love him and that's all matters"

"VEDANT bhai is also here in case you change your mind" He said with a little smirk...he has been on my parents side of being unsure about marrying saransh!

"STOP with your teasing krish..i was only 17 when i told you that...and it was just a little crush..and it got over with time you know..when he moved to the U.S for his further studies" I said while the last words came out of my mouth like a whisper

"I was just kidding dumbo!" He said while hitting my head slightly

"OKAY! enough of your talking kids they will be here any moment..krish come with me i need your help" maa said as she took krish with him..

Finally the moment is here....i am feeling both nervous...and happy at the same time...there is a flood of emotions going through my heart! As my chest heaved up i decided to look out from the window of my room to get some fresh air..and then i saw him almost after 6-7 years

He has maintained himself so well! I have read articles about how girls drool over him and how successful businessmen he has become

His almost 6 ft' height well built muscles broad chest, No doubt why he is famous among the girls

the kurta fits him so well he has rolled up the sleeves of his kurta giving a glance of veins present in his arms
his almond shaped hazel brown eyes , sharp jawline, his hair well maintained

A smile appeared on his face as he approached my parents who were attending the guests at the entrance..

I was not able to listen to their talks.. just when a message popped up on my phone's screen..it was from SARANSH.. there was this long paragraph i thought he had sent me that speech which he had planned to speak when we get married...as i started reading..a shiver ran down my spine..i felt my world moving out of my hands..out of my control..tears dwelled up in my eyes..as i stared blankly at the screen of my phone...

MIHIKA

"I am backing off from the marriage mihika i didn't have a heart to convey this to you face to face..but now i can't do this..i am sorry" As i read the message from Saransh i felt like someone has stabbed a knife right through my heart this isn't what i deserved

"Mihika" i heard my dad knocking the door of my room

"Leave me alone paa" i said replying back though my voice cracked a little..I don't want anyone's sympathy or pity

but it didn't changed the fact that it hurts spending so much of yourself,your emotions on someone just to get left behind in return it hurts...it was difficult for me to breath as i realised i have been crying since then...my chest heaved up my legs trembled as i took support of my bed..my hands were shivering

then i heard several knocks on my room's door

"Mihi open the door please it's me krishiv" i heard krishiv shouting from outside

"I want to be alone krish please go" i replied

"mihi baby open the door please don't hurt urself" i heard maa...i couldn't say no to her so i opened the door and got back to my place

"I don't want anyone's sympathy it was my fault i know i did trust the wrong one but now there is nothing i can do just cancel the wedding" i said in one go without looking up..

"Mihi we can't do this..media is everywhere outside we can't let them know" Aakash mathur My chachu(Uncle) said

"Jab ladka he esa tha toh esa to hona he tha" chachi said

(it was bound to happen as the boy was him)

"Ankita watch your tongue that's not how you talk to my daughter" Maa said angrily

"Everything is my fault, he left me that's my fault i choose him that's my fault i didn't know he would back off that was my freaking fault" I said a bit louder as i felt my breath hitched...i wasn't able to breath properly..

"Just leave everyone..i don't want to listen to anyone right now" i said loudly while motioning my hand towards the door

"Aakash take everyone out with you for a while i want to talk to mihi alone! And see where Darsh is i want his help" Vinay Mathur my father said

As everyone left the room my father came and settled beside me he engulfed me in his arms that was what i needed i wanted my father to protect me from all these taunts which i didn't even deserved

"Mihi look we cannot know beforehand what the future will hold for us Saransh wasn't the right guy for you..you realised it late..but you did that's what matters" My father said

i looked up to him sensing he has to say more

"Mihi we have a reputation to behold as much as i want to be your father right now i also want to assure that people don't keep talking bad about us, about you" My father said with a low tone

i can understand him it took his whole life to be there where he is now...and i don't want his efforts to go in vain just because of me

"What do you want me to do paa?" i asked

"Look mihi i have always told you that be with someone who protects the little girl inside you and at the same time let the woman in you be free" My father said and i reminisced every time he told me that Saransh is not the man!

"i am just hating myself for doing this" i said as tears left my eyes

"My habit of taking impulsive decisions always hurts me and i still do it" i said fisting my hands

"Now for once Mihi i want you to trust my decision and marry Vedant" he said

"Paa what are you even saying?? I can't do this to him" i said

"Mai unke saath esa nhi kar sakti paa" i said looking at my father in disbelief

(I can't do this to him dad)

"Can you please listen to me once mihi i have never asked anything from you and i am saying it for your own good bacche(baby)" He said patting my head slightly

"He is right mihi bete and you are like my daughter I wouldn't let anything wrong happen to you and i trust my son with you" Darsh Malhotra vedant's father said entering the room and taking a seat beside me

"And you know if you didn't have any love interest in your life i was going to ask vinay to make you my daughter-in-law" He said continuing while offering me a glass of water

i took it and gulped down the glass of water in one go i was exhausted..of all this i just wanted to run away from this situation and never come back

"Tell me Mihi do you want to marry him" Neeti Mathur my mom said entering with my cousin sister prisha

"Trust me di i just heard something while coming here..he is the best guy you could ever have in your life" prisha said

i said nodding my head slightly..i mean i know he is a nice guy but i am not in a state to nourish a relationship and something as serious as marriage I am not sure if i will be able to handle it

"He will take care of you mihi..and i am telling you..you will eventually fall in love with him" Maa said

"it's totally your decision bacche don't force yourself" Darsh uncle said

"I will marry him..uncle" i said looking up wiping my tears and all of their sad faces were now lit up with a huge smile and seeing them a small smile appeared on my face too

VEDANT

I was taken aback by what i just heard from my brothers krishiv and ritvik

"Are you serious" i said with a straight face but my voice sounded eager

"Ved bhai i am serious neeti aunty just told me" krishiv said

"How could he do this to her" i said

"I told you no that i always hated saransh being the one" krish said

"Is she fine? she knows?" i said trying hard to hide my concern

"She is i guess dad and vinay uncle are talking to her" ritvik said

"Dad wants her to be his daughter-in-law now" ritvik said casually

I was shocked with the casualty of his words

"what do you mean?" i said a little loud guessing that he might be talking about krishiv

"Relax bhai i am not going to marry her" krishiv said patting my shoulder

"I didn't meant it in that way" i said while trying to look unbothered

"Yes yes! we know what you mean" ritvik said dramatically

"Do you want her to be your wife?" krishiv asked in a serious tone

"i swear bhai i want the best for her..if you even have slightest doubt please say no" he continued

"She has been hurt badly...you know her past experiences don't you" he said looking at me expecting an answer

"I know krish.." i said

"I even warned saransh about it but that piece of sh*t didn't get that so i had to step in now" krish said with a hint of anger in his voice

"Calm down! Ved bhai is enough for him i guess" ritvik said with a smirk

"I swear if he was in front of me i would have made sure he regrets his whole existence" I said fisting my hand

"See i told you he still feels for her" ritvik said grinning

"I know right i just wanted to see it through my eyes" krishiv said smiling

"Did I say that aloud" i said cursing myself under my breath

"Yes you did" My mother Amrita Malhotra said with a smile entering the room where we three are

"Mom you heard that too?" ritvik said excitedly

"Yes i did.. Now Vedant tell me do you want to marry her?" Mom said looking right through my soul

"Bhai i am telling you this is your last chance or else i'll marry her" krishiv said taking a place beside my mother

"No" i said aloud

"You don't want to marry her okay then Mom i am" krishiv said but i cut him down saying

"No you can't..i mean Yes i want to marry her and now you two shut up with your games" i said shooting daggers with my eyes at my little brothers

"So eager to marry her i see.. don't forget she just had her heart broken" Mom said with a little hint of tease

"I am not eager..and yes i remember i will take care of her" I said
