Chapter 1: Glass Hearts and Paper Promises
The ballroom was too big for Jay Jay’s smile to reach all four corners. The lights shimmered above her like stars, but none of them could guide her away from the heavy weight on her chest.
She stood in a blood-red gown, hand resting in Yuri Hanamichi’s as dozens of elite families clapped around them. “The perfect couple,” someone whispered. “A merging of legacies,” said another. Jay Jay couldn’t breathe.
Keifer Watson stood in the corner. Sharp jaw clenched. Black wavy hair brushed back messily. Eyes like fire—and they were locked on her.
His fists remained deep in his pockets, because if he reached out to her now, he’d burn the whole room down.
Yuri’s fingers tightened around Jay Jay’s. “You okay?” he murmured, leaning down. His red hair fell into his eyes—those eyes that didn’t know the truth.
Jay Jay nodded. “Yeah,” she lied.
This wasn’t how love was supposed to feel. It wasn’t supposed to be strategic. It wasn’t supposed to suffocate.
But her family was drowning in debt, and the engagement was the only life raft. The Hanamichi name came with power, and with that, came survival.
Later that night, when the guests were gone and the chandelier’s light dimmed, Jay Jay found herself alone in the garden.
Keifer was there.
“You looked beautiful,” he said quietly.
Jay Jay spun around. Her heart raced. “You shouldn’t be here.”
“I know,” he said, walking closer. “But I can’t just stand there pretending this doesn’t kill me.”
She swallowed hard. “Keifer…”
“You said you loved me,” he said. “Was that a lie?”
“No,” she whispered.
And then she kissed him.

Next Morning – Private Chatroom
> JayJay: You up?
> Y/N: Yep. What’s up?
> JayJay: I have something to tell you... but you can’t judge me.
> Y/N: Bro. You’re typing that after being engaged to Yuri?
> JayJay: …so you heard?
> Y/N: Whole school heard. But I’m your best friend, so spill.
> JayJay: I kissed Keifer last night.
> Y/N: YOU WHAT???
> JayJay: I KNOW OKAY I KNOW
> JayJay: I didn’t plan it. I just… I needed something real.
> Y/N: You know you’re engaged to a guy who actually likes you right?
> JayJay: Please don’t make me feel worse.
> Y/N: You already know what I’m gonna say. This is gonna explode in your face if you don’t tell him the truth.
> JayJay: I can’t. Not yet. Just… pretend I never said anything.

Yuri’s POV
Yuri had always been friendly. Not the flirty type, just… naturally warm. But lately, he felt like he was living with shadows. Jay Jay’s eyes didn’t smile like they used to.
He leaned against the gates of Hanamura High, eyes searching for answers in people’s faces. Keifer passed by without a glance.
“Morning,” he called, forcing a smile.
Keifer just nodded, hands in his pockets.
Something was off. And Yuri knew it. He just didn’t know how deep it ran.

(Also don't judge by the beginning...after maybe like 20-25 chapter it's gonna be chill---)
---(there was a chapter 2 between but I accidentally deleted it and now am not going to write it again, just going to tell what happened.so yn called jay and told that she is going to transfer to HVIS HIGHSCHOOL and jay became excited and blah blah blah.... continuation.)
Chapter 3: "Well, well, well... guess this is the Section E, huh?"
The hallways of HVIS Highschool buzzed like usual-heels clacking, students laughing too loud, and teachers already yelling at 8 AM.
But inside Section E's classroom, Jay Jay was practically vibrating in her seat. Not from excitement.
From panic.
"Where is she-where is she-WHERE IS SHE?!"
"Jay, are you okay?" Drew asked beside her, tilting his head.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm NOT fine," she muttered, grabbing his sleeve. "She said she's transferring today! Like... TODAY today!"
"Who?" Felix asked from behind his book.
Jay Jay stood up. "My best friend. My literal day one. If she walks into this chaotic jungle of a section without me beside her, she might die."
Drew chuckled. "Isn't she the one who fights people?"
"Yeah," Jay nodded. "But still! Emotional death!"
Just then, the door creaked.
The whole class turned.
And in she walked.
With her wolfcut framing her fierce, pretty face, eyes gleaming like she already owned the place, and a casual smirk tugging at her lips...
Y/N Collins.
Jay gasped so loud the room heard it. "NO. WAY."
Y/N dropped her bag on the teacher's desk and winked. "Surprise?"
"NO WAY!" Jay sprinted forward and practically tackled her. "You didn't tell me it was TODAY!"
Y/N laughed, hugging her tightly. "Where's the fun in that?"
The boys stared in awe as the new girl flipped her hair and looked around the classroom like it was a scene from a teen drama.
Then Y/N slowly turned to the rest of Section E, eyes scanning the chaotic group-CI-N asleep on his desk, Calix arm-wrestling with Mayo, Yuri twirling a pen between his fingers near the window, and Keifer leaning back in his chair, unreadable as ever.
"Well, well, well..." Y/N grinned. "Guess this is the Section E, huh?"
The class blinked.
Then CI-N sat up. "Did we just get a girl or a main character?"
Y/N gave him a two-finger salute.
Jay Jay giggled, looping her arm through Y/N's. "Guys, meet Y/N. My best friend. My soul sister. My partner in crime."
"She's dangerous, isn't she?" Felix mumbled to Keifer.
Keifer didn't respond. He was staring-eyes narrowed like he was trying to solve a puzzle.
And Yuri?
Yuri just leaned back, a small amused smile tugging at his lips.
"Interesting," he muttered.

Later - Lunchtime at the Cafeteria
Jay and Y/N sat at their usual spot-now upgraded thanks to Y/N's presence. People kept staring, whispering.
"Why's everyone acting like I'm the president's niece?" Y/N asked, sipping her soda.
"Because this is Section E," Jay replied, "and girls don't usually survive here."
Y/N raised a brow. "You did."
"Barely," Jay said, mouth full of fries. "Besides, they all think you're either gonna rule the class or burn it down."
Y/N smirked. "Why not both?"
Jay choked on her fries. "PLEASE don't start a fire on day one."
"I make no promises."

Chapter 4: Welcome to the Jungle
The first thing Y/N learned about Section E?
No one was normal.
CI-N climbed up on a desk and yelled, "WHOEVER STOLE MY UBE PANDESAL, I SWEAR I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL MAKE YOU EAT CHALK!"
"Bro, calm down," Drew said. "It's literally just bread."
"JUST BREAD? That's breakfast with feelings!"
Keifer rolled his eyes and pushed past the crowd, long legs making him look like a predator among panicking prey. "Move. I'm hungry and all of you are loud."
"You're always hungry," Mayo said, tossing him a banana.
"AND YOU'RE ALWAYS IN MY BUSINESS."
In the corner, Felix was trying to teach Kit how to play chess while Rakki kept switching the pieces just to mess with them. Jay Jay was writing in her notebook while occasionally slapping CI-N's leg to stop him from jumping on more furniture.
And Yuri?
He was asleep with headphones on, his red hair falling in front of his face, pretending the chaos didn't exist.
Y/N blinked.
"This is... actually kind of amazing."
"Right?" Jay said proudly. "You'll love it."
"Or lose your sanity."
"Both!"
---
Later - During Class
"QUIET!" the teacher barked. "QUIET OR I'LL FAIL YOU ALL."
The class silenced instantly... for three seconds.
Then CI-N raised his hand. "Sir, how do you spell 'dumb' again?"
"C-I-N," Jay muttered, making Y/N snort.
"ENOUGH!"
The teacher turned to the board and wrote:
Group Project: SECTION E vs. SECTION D Debate.
The class groaned.
"Not them again," Keifer muttered. "They act like they invented insults."
"I'm actually excited," Y/N whispered to Jay. "Maybe I'll get to destroy someone emotionally."
Jay grinned. "See? I knew you belonged here."
Yuri, now fully awake, glanced back at Y/N. He caught that little glint in her eye.
Dangerous.
Cute.
A lot.
But he just looked away, uninterested-for now.
---
After Class - On the Field
"Practice time!" Calix yelled, tossing a basketball.
They had free time, which meant the field was suddenly a battlefield. CI-N tried to dunk but tripped on his own foot. Felix caught it mid-air like a ninja and threw it straight into Jay Jay's face.
"MY NOSE!" she screamed.
"I'M SORRY!"
Y/N laughed so hard she fell on the grass. "What even is this class?!"
"A circus," Yuri said behind her, offering a hand to help her up.
She looked up at him, surprised.
"Thanks," she muttered.
"No problem, new girl."
She raised an eyebrow. "Don't you have a name?"
He smirked. "I do. Try to guess it."
"Hmm... Trouble?"
"Close."
They stared at each other for a second too long before Jay Jay called, "Y/N! Let's go! You're playing next!"
Y/N ran back to the group, leaving Yuri staring after her.
Keifer had seen the whole thing.
He narrowed his eyes.
"Nope," he whispered. "Not again."

[Scene Addition - Chapter 4: "Yuri & Jay"]
After the basketball chaos had settled, and CI-N was finally banned from jumping on benches, Yuri sat on the bleachers, drinking water and watching the sky slowly turn orange.
Jay Jay plopped down beside him and stole his bottle. "Mine now."
"Wasn't even yours to begin with."
"I'm your girlfriend. What's yours is mine."
He chuckled. "So if I fail a test, it's yours too?"
Jay laughed. "Ew, no. Keep that."
They sat in silence for a second.
Yuri looked at her.
Hair catching the wind. The faintest smile tugging at her lips.
She wasn't perfect. She was chaos and softness in a small frame.
And she was his.
He brushed her hair away from her face. "Hey... you okay lately?"
Jay blinked. "Huh? Why?"
"I dunno. You feel... distant sometimes."
She froze-just a flicker-but quickly smiled. "I've just been busy. You know, friends, projects, life."
Yuri smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "Okay... Just don't forget you've got me too, alright?"
Jay looked at him. And in that moment, guilt swelled in her chest.
She looked down. "Yeah. I won't forget."
Yuri leaned back, not seeing the way she bit her lip.
He loved her. So much.
And he had no idea his heart was already being cracked behind his back.

CHAPTER 5 — “Secrets & Stares”
HVIS Highschool — Section E
The morning bell rang like a gunshot in the hallways, yet Section E remained as chaotic as always. CI-N was balancing an eraser on his nose, Drew and Felix were arguing about whether ghosts existed, and Jay Jay was curled up in her seat, pretending to read—but her mind was somewhere else.
Keifer.
He hadn’t messaged her back since last night. The kiss still haunted her. Not because she regretted it… but because it meant everything.
She glanced across the room at Yuri. His red hair glinted under the sun pouring through the windows. He was laughing with Kit and Mica, unbothered.
Unaware.
Jay Jay swallowed hard.
Meanwhile—
Y/N, who had been sitting with Jay since she entered, leaned in close and whispered sharply, “You haven’t told him yet, have you?”
Jay froze.
“Jay,” Y/N whispered again, “This is getting worse. You’re engaged to Yuri and dating Keifer in secret. You’re going to break him.”
Jay put down her pen. “I know, okay?! I know. I just... I don’t know how.”
Y/N leaned back, arms crossed. “Then figure it out. Fast.”
Jay looked away. “It’s not that easy.”
“And cheating is?”
Jay Jay’s eyes flashed.
The two stared each other down for a moment. The tension between them almost louder than the noise around them.
“Y/N…” Jay said slowly. “Please.”
But Y/N was already standing up, grabbing her notebook. “When you hurt someone who’d do anything for you… don’t act surprised when the world stops being kind.”
With that, she walked off to sit beside CI-N and Drew, leaving Jay Jay sitting alone, the weight of guilt pressing heavy on her chest.
Across the room, Keifer walked in—late as always, his wavy black hair slightly tousled, headphones around his neck, and a hoodie three sizes too big.
Jay's breath caught.
They exchanged a glance. Just one.
But it was enough.
Too much.
And Yuri saw it.
He tilted his head slightly. His friendly smile faltered just a bit as he watched Jay Jay’s expression change… in a way it never did when she looked at him.
Something was off.
---
LUNCH TIME — Rooftop
Jay Jay finally caught up with Y/N by the vending machines.
“Y/N… hey—” she started, but Y/N turned away.
“No. You don’t get to talk to me like nothing happened.”
Jay Jay sighed, stepping in front of her. “I’m sorry, okay?! I just… I’m scared.”
Y/N softened, just a little. “Scared of what?”
“Scared of losing everything.”
Y/N exhaled. “Jay. You already are. Just… be honest. If not with Yuri, then at least with yourself.”
Jay Jay looked down, and after a long pause, she whispered, “I’ll tell him. Soon.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Promise?”
“Promise.”
Y/N crossed her arms. “Good. Now go. Apologize to him.”
Jay Jay blinked. “Now?!”
“Yes. Now.”
